# Your Steam inventory is private

The notification "Your Steam inventory is private" means your Steam inventory is visible only to you. A trade offer can't be sent to an account with a private inventory, so the item came back to your inventory on the site.

## How to fix it

1. Open your [Steam privacy settings](https://steamcommunity.com/my/edit/settings).
2. Set both "My profile" and "Inventory" to "Public". The inventory can't be more public than the profile, so both need to be open.
3. Wait a few minutes: Steam doesn't apply the settings instantly.
4. Click "Withdraw to Steam" again.
