Withdrawal failed: the item is back in your inventory

If you got the notification "Withdrawal failed" with the text "The item is back in your inventory", the trade didn't go through and the item is back in your inventory on the site. You can withdraw it again.

If the notification shows a different reason, look for the article with the same title in the "Withdrawals" category.

Common causes

  • The trade offer wasn't accepted in time: there's a limited window to accept it.
  • The trade offer was declined or canceled in Steam.
  • The item is temporarily out of stock, so it couldn't be sent.

How to withdraw an item

  1. Click "Withdraw to Steam".
  2. Once the trade offer is sent, an "Accept" button appears on the item and in the notification. Click it to open the trade offer in Steam.
  3. Accept the trade offer and confirm it in the Steam mobile app.

Other withdrawal messages

  • "Items changed, select again" — your inventory changed while you were selecting items, for example some were sold in another tab. The list has already refreshed: select the items again.
  • "Maintenance, try again later" — the site is under maintenance. Wait and try the withdrawal again.
  • "Something went wrong. Try again" — try the withdrawal again in a minute. If the error keeps happening, message us in the support chat.
